Cook Strait is my sea.
Taranaki is my mountain
I am from Wellington
My tribes are Irish, English and Scottish
My name is Maggie
And so, greetings, greetings to you all

My interest in family history began with a fourth form project in school. I remember gathering up a whole heap of notes and scraps of paper my father had, and cobbling together a family tree of sorts from all the information.

Since then, genealogy has had to take a back seat to study, work, and bringing up three kids, but I’ve recently completed the Higher Certificate in Genealogy with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies, and been accepted as an Associate of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (UK). After living in England for the last nine years, I’m now back in my native New Zealand.

If you think our families are connected, please contact me. I am more than happy to share any information, documents and photographs I have that may help in your research. And I’m very keen to discover any new relatives, however distant!
